This website is dedicated to the memory of parents of the Managing Director of Sonako International Services Ltd a.k.a. Sonako Homes the Late Mr. A.S.C Johnson, 1st Auditor-General of Independent Sierra Leone and a Retired Governor of the Bank of Sierra Leone. He was an important actor in the Real Estate Sector in Sierra Leone since his retirement in the early 1980s and his mother Mrs. Ayokale Priscilla Agatha Johnson who imbibed in him the culture of discipline as a life skill.

Sonako International Services Ltd, a.k.a. Sonako Homes was incorporated in November 2002 and started operations in Sierra Leone in January 2005. We are Property Consultants, Valuers and Appraisers. We are a second generation company who over the years has built up a track record of excellent service delivery in Sierra Leone.
Apart from private individuals such as the Sir Ernest Dunstan Morgan Estate, our local corporate clients over the years includes, commercial banks such as Keystone Bank, FI Bank, Rokel Commercial Bank, Commercial and Mortgage Bank Plc, Sierra Leone Brewery Ltd, IDEA (SL), The Developers of the Hilton Hotel, The Sierra Leone Postal Services Ltd (SALPOST), The Sierra Leone Commercial Bank as service provider to Glotech Services Ltd, NGO’s such as Medicins Sans Frontiere (MSF), GOAL Sierra Leone, Search for Common Ground, TIMAP for Justice and the University of Makeni and MADAM in Makeni, UN FAO and the World Bank Group in Washington.
Sonako has undertaken two market research studies into Real Estate Development in Sierra Leone since January 2005. Recently (2023) we undertook the feasibility study for the TAF SALONE LTD Micro City at John O’ Bey and Black Johnson. In March 2006 we were invited by the Commonwealth Business Council during an international investment conference in Sierra Leone at the Bintumani Hotel to present a paper on Real Estate Development in Sierra Leone. Sonako Homes shared a panel with the then Minister of Lands Country Planning and the Environment and the then Minister of Housing and Works.
In April 2016, on recommendation by IDEA, SL LTD, the developers of the Cape Sierra Hilton Hotel project, Colliers International, a London based global leader in Real Estate Solutions commissioned Sonako Homes to prepare and submit a profile of comparatives on residential and commercial lettings and residential sales in Sierra Leone.
In July 2018, our Managing Director, Mr. Arthur Johnson, was co-opted onto an Independent Civil Servant’s quarters’ verification committee to identify and verify Civil Servants’ Quarters and report thereon. As secretary, he made two presentations to the then Ministers based on the findings and ably supported the team that prepared the reports for the Western Area and the regions.
In February 2019, Mr. Johnson was invited to participate in a panel discussion during the launch of the World Bank Group’s report entitled, “FREETOWN, Options for Growth and Resilience, Urban Sector Review”, wherein he is acknowledged in the report.
